Skype for Business upgraded to Teams 11-8-2021

On Monday, November 8, 2021, Microsioft is automating the upgrade for Skype for Business users to Microsoft Teams. Microsoft notified users on Monday, November 1, 2021, through Skype for Business application, that they will soon be upgraded to Teams.

Image Tags in SharePoint!

With this update, Microsoft will migrate tags from the previous text-based and read only Tags column and implement a new editable Image Tags column.  End-users will be able to manually add or remove tags from this column. The tags will also appear in the details pane. 

The old column will no longer be available, it will be removed.  Views and Flows in your SharePoint environment may need to be updated.

SMS notifications for booking appointments

Microsoft will be enabling SMS notifications to be sent to the person booked for an appointment scheduled through the Bookings web app or Bookings app in Teams or via the self-serve booking page. Additionally, the SMS will include the Teams meeting link for virtual booking appointments.

CART Caption support in Microsoft Teams Meetings

Users will now be able to view real-time captions coming from a CART (Communication Access Real-Time Translation) provider within the Microsoft Teams meeting window. Meeting organizers and participants will be able to ask their CART captioning providers to stream captions to Microsoft Teams.
