New Teams Features For Sharing At Inspire 2022 Microsoft Teams will soon have more ways to collaborate during meetings, including marking up content in real-time. Microsoft Inspire, one of Microsoft’s largest partner events, just concluded. At this event, a few noteworthy announcements for Teams were made. Excel Live will let people collaborate within workbooks in real-time during Teams meetings. The new feature follows Microsoft's announcement of Live Share in Teams that the company unveiled at Build this year. Like PowerPoint Live, which Microsoft introduced earlier this year, Excel Live allows users to access and share their latest Excel workbooks by using the Share tray in Teams. Once a workbook is shared, everyone in a meeting can edit the Excel file directly from the meeting screen. Video Clip is another new Teams feature. For the times when text messages and emojis just don’t cut it, Microsoft has given Teams users another option for communicating with colleagues: the ability to send short video clips using the chat function. Microsoft also announced a collaborative-annotations feature that people can use to markup content during meetings. People can draw, type, and react to shared content in real-time using tools from Microsoft Whiteboard. Microsoft announced that Teams Connect Shared Channels are generally available. These allow people inside and outside of an organization to work together within a shared space. They support chats, meetings, sharing, co-authoring files, and developing apps together.
