Control Auto-Expiration of Teams Meetings Recordings

Automatic expiration of Teams meeting recordings will be enabled January 2022, administrators do have control over this feature.

Quick review: As part of the evolution of the new Stream (built on SharePoint), Microsoft is introducing the meeting recording auto-expiration feature, which will automatically delete Teams recording files stored in OneDrive or SharePoint after a preset period of time (default is 60 days).

Administrators, however, do have the option to disable this feature.  Teams administrators will need to run a PowerShell script to disable this feature.  Instructions for how to disable the feature are available at the link included in this blog.
