World Password Day: Microsoft, Google, and Apple Consider Ditching Passwords

May 5, 2022 was World Password Day. In celebration, Microsoft commemorated the day by helping people move away from passwords altogether. The company announced support for the expansion of a password-less standard created by the FIDO Alliance and the World Wide Web consortium. Apple and Google also announced support for the standard, which is a major step forward toward a password-less future.

Microsoft Lists Calendar: Unscheduled Pane

Microsoft has announced a new feature called Microsoft List Calendar: Unscheduled Pane.  This feature will allow you to review all the items not yet appearing in the Calendar view due to missing dates. These items will appear on the Unscheduled tab within the events pane to the right of the Calendar view.

Access Standard & Private Channel Files In SharePoint & OneDrive

When you navigate to a Teams connected SharePoint site in SharePoint or OneDrive, you will be able to access the files stored in that team’s standard and private channels. You will see a new In channels section when you navigate to the default document library of a Teams-connected site.

Large Folder Delete on OneDrive and SharePoint Document Libraries on Web

Currently large folders cannot be deleted from OneDrive and SharePoint Document Libraries on web. Now, Microsoft is working on a new update for its cloud storage service that will allow users to delete large folders on Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint Document Libraries on web.
